Ask what the score was built to measure

📊 Before interpreting a biological-age score, ask what it was built to measure.
Does it estimate chronological age, predict a health outcome or track a particular biological process? In which population was it evaluated, and what is known about repeatability? A change in the number can have different meanings depending on those answers.
The ARDD 2026 measurement conversation is an invitation to use tools carefully, not to dismiss every clock. Combine molecular findings with relevant functional assessments, and distinguish prediction from evidence that an intervention benefits people. A useful measure needs a clear job, not just a compelling label.

📊 What was a biological-age score built to measure, and where was it validated? Clocks can be useful tools. A changed number alone does not prove a health benefit; interpret it alongside relevant function, repeatability and context. #ARDD2026 #Biomarkers
