An average can hide different trajectories

🧬 A single summary can hide the pattern that makes a biological system interesting.
Organ-specific proteomic models have found different estimated aging trajectories within the same person, with associations to health outcomes. These are model-based estimates and observational relationships, not proof that lowering an organ-age score improves health.
For the measurement discussion at ARDD 2026, the practical question is what a summary leaves out. Looking across biological signals and functional domains can help researchers ask more precise questions. The goal is a clearer view of the system, with each measure's uncertainty and purpose kept visible.

🧬 An average can hide different organ trajectories. Proteomic aging models show health associations, but lowering a model score is not yet proof of better health. Compare biological signals with function and keep uncertainty visible. #ARDD2026 #Biomarkers
