🧠 Brain-health prevention needs measurements clinicians can interpret
David Dodick addressed that challenge to ARDD 2026’s panel on moving healthspan trials into clinical practice. In the official recap, he described Atria’s preventive approach through deep phenotyping, risk assessment, early intervention and multidisciplinary follow-up.
💡 He distinguished three levels of measurement: conventional clinical outcomes such as blood pressure and cognition, emerging disease biomarkers such as p-tau217, and aging biomarkers such as epigenetic or proteomic organ clocks. The latter two remain research measures in the framework he presented.
That distinction matters when promising tools enter a clinical conversation. Dodick also described a de-identified prevention registry and work to integrate wearable and health-record data, creating a route for care to generate more useful evidence over time.
