🌍 A longevity study needs a place to become clinical evidence
At ARDD 2026, Nicole Sirotin described how Abu Dhabi is connecting population genomics, health records and clinical-trial capacity to support healthy longevity medicine. The official recap reports more than 800,000 Emiratis sequenced, with 400,000 genomes linked to clinical data.
💡 Her examples made that infrastructure concrete: polygenic risk score validation with the Buck Institute, a Ramadan fasting study with Harvard and Oura, and a Human Phenotype Project connected to Weizmann’s 10K project. She also described a 22-week model-of-care intervention funded by a national insurer.
For international collaborators, her invitation was practical: bring multisite trials to Abu Dhabi and help build the evidence needed for scalable care.
